VOLUNTEER

• Workers are needed on a weekly basis to work with clients  receiving food and clothing (a pastoral reference is needed).
• Workers will be needed for Crossroads Pregnancy Care Center...these workers must undergo training (a pastoral reference is needed).

• There are no charges for any of the services that we offer.  Therefore, we rely solely on God's provision through the generosity of our supporters.

OPERATION:  WE CARE

• Vet2Vet has adopted a platoon that was deployed to Afghanistan in April of 2010.
• There are 22 soldiers in this platoon.

• We are collecting the following items, at Mission Share, to send to them as “CARE” packages as often as we are able:  

  • Shampoo       (generic brands, 16 oz. size) 
  • Soap               (generic brands, normal size bars) 
  • Baby wipes 
  • Rags                (new, packaged) 
  • Hard Candy   (non-melting only) 
  • Beef Jerky       (beef jerky, pepperoni, Slim Jim’s, etc) 
  • Magazines      (Current only! - sports, hunting, fishing) 
  • Used books     (preferably paperbacks) 
  • Blank CD’s 
  • Pens, Pencils   (the soldiers give them out to the children)
• Above all, please remember to pray for these young men...for their protection, for their families, and most importantly for their salvation. 

 BACK-TO-SCHOOL OUTREACH
There are 4 ways to get involved! 

THANKSGIVING OUTREACH

• Sponsor a "basket" of food for $20/basket by November 14th
• Help us assemble the baskets on Thursday, November 17th from 7 - 8 in the evening at Mission Share
• Help us distribute the baskets on Saturday, November 19th from 9:30 - 11:30 at Mission Share.  In addition, we will be delivering approximately 20 baskets to clients without transportation on this Saturday.

CHRISTMAS HOPE

• Become a sponsor family
  • Applications are due by November 12th
  • Your "family" information, along with their wish list and instructions will be mailed to you by Thanksgiving

Mission Share is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation.  As such, we are able to issue tax-deductible receipts to individuals for their cash contributions.  If you should desire a receipt for your non-cash contributions of clothing, please be advised that a Mission Share worker must process your donation and that Mission Share does NOT place values on these items.  In addition, it is highly advisable that you have an itemized list of every type of item that you donate as a measure of protection in the ulikely event YOU should be audited by the IRS.

Mission Share accepts new and used clothing in good condition.

Currently, Mission Share does NOT accept furniture, kitchen items, or household items.

There are no costs for services rendered by Mission Share. We operate and depend solely on donations.

Checks may be written payable to:  Mission Share Inc.  We will issue you a receipt for your records.
